This was started traditional and finished digital.
I like the font, but I think the text could be better.

I like the look of it a lot. I think your right about the text, but I really like where its going.

whatever wash color/technique you used is perfect. really pulls the main character out of the clutter and the crowd. for the font i would go with something tall and thin like the font you use for the title. maybe play around with the kerning and see if that works?
